Avalon Raceway Presents the SRA 360 Sprintcar Diggers Cup

The SRA Sprintcars return to Avalon Raceway this Saturday night for the final sprintcar event on the 2016-2017 SRA season calendar for the Inaugural SRA 360 Sprintcar Diggers Cup that has attached a top class field of drivers.
Avalon Raceway have also secured sponsorship for this event from A Plus Powder Coating to enhance the event that bit more that is being conducted in respect to Anzac day.
Over twenty five nominations have been received with past and Present SRA Victorian 360 Sprintcar Champions in the field. A couple of the past champions Michael Tancredi and Domain Ramsay are set and ready to race along with the current SRA 360 Sprintcar Champion Jordyn Charge.
Brenten Farrer, Paul Solomon and Phil Lock are no strangers to be running at the front of any 360 sprintcar event but this event will have a few of the regular Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar drivers looking for glory in the SRA 360 Diggers Cup.
Current Eureka Series Champion Brett Milburn will be joined by Eddie Lumbar, Jordyn Charge, David Aldersley and Chris Campbell who will have 360 power plants in their regular machines with the exception of Brett Milburn who will pilot the S36 sprintcar.
Three lady racers entered are Jessica Moulden, Georgia McLeod and Stacey Galliford. Stacey had here first look at Avalon Raceway in the recent Easter Sprintcar Trail and took out a heat win that was greatly applauded by the spectators for here efforts.
So as mentioned the current Victorian 360 Champion Jordyn Charge will be looking for another feature win but there are two other young drivers that are more that capable of taking the Diggers Cup win this Saturday night, Brayden Parr and Rusty Hickman.
These three drivers have been outstanding this season, both Jordyn and Brayden finished in the top eleven of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series.
Rusty Hickman is a young man in a hurry, Rusty was unfortunate to be sidelined for the first two thirds of the season with an injury. On his return this young man set the tracks alight with strong performances in the last few Eureka Series rounds before taking the win at the recent SRA 360 Hickman Tree Maintenance Challenge at Heartland Raceway.
Then in the annual Easter Sprintcar trail Rusty continued to show he is a driver of the future after setting the fast time trial times at two tracks before finishing off with a second place A Main finish at Premier Speedway. With his present form Rusty must be one of the top contenders.
Other drivers looking for a good nights racing to finish the season off is the Michael Cunningham, Daniel Ellis, James Wren, Ben Morrison and the practical Joker, Bendigo’s Darren Clark.
Ben Gartner will also be looking to make the trip from South Australia while Shawn Forrell will be down from New South Wales.
There are two drivers nominated the will be having their first taste in the 360 ranks, Travis Millar and Scott Drew.
This event is a wide open affair with loads of talent and a night not to miss, also the vintage sprintcars are the card.
Avalon Raceway Saturday the 29th of April, SRA 360 Sprintcar Diggers Cup, engine stars at approximately 5.30 pm with heat time trials to follow shortly afterwards.
