The Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series returns to Heartland Raceway for the first of two visits for the Series this season and on Saturday night with a class field of competitors nominated which includes the top three drivers from the opening round of the Series at Avalon Raceway last weekend, Jamie Veal, Rusty Hickman and Brett Milburn nominated the battle will be resume.

These drivers will be joined by David Murcott who won the opening round of last season’s Eureka Series at Heartland Raceway driving for the Victory Lane Racegear Team in the V88, Murcott will once again open his season down south driving the V88 J&J.

New South Wales hard charger Sam Walsh is also nominated, Sam made his Heartland Raceway debut last season with a strong performance to take third place in the main event.

Each of the drivers mentioned so far are real contenders for a round win in the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series A Main event but there is still a few more challengers to add to that list.

Glen Sutherland went so close to taking a Series round win at Heartland Raceway last season after leading for so long but had to settle for a second behind David Murcott in the end, Glen also ran second to Jamie Veal a couple of seasons back.

Domain Ramsay has shown he has the pace when competing on the big wide open spaces at Heartland Raceway with a few strong showing’s but none more than last season when he was leading one of the feature race only for his left rear tyre to exploded going down the main straight that sent him into the wall and out of the race, a top three placing is not out of the question.

Two drivers from New South Wales that have entered for this round of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series are Matthew & Marcus Dumesny. This will be their first visit to Heartland Raceway but both drivers are more than capable of mixing it with the best around.

Western Australia will be represented by Scott Reilly who raced in the Eureka Series rounds last season at Heartland Raceway and Aldo De Paoli will be having his first look the venue.

Tim Hutchins, Dennis Jones, Braydan Parr, Jordyn Charge, Charles Hunter, Jacob Smith, Terry Kelly are some of the drivers that perform very well and are a big chances to qualify direct into the Eureka Series A Main event.

New South Wales will also be represented by Braydan Willmington, Chris McInerney and Eddie Lumbar, these drivers are no strangers to the Eureka Series and are capable of putting in a good showing on the night.

A couple of rookie drivers entered are Bobby Daly and Grant Stansfield, both drivers had their first sprintcar outing last weekend in round one of the Series and they performed well, this weekend will be more about getting laps and experience under their belts.

With thirty two driver’s nominations at the time of writing round two of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series is shaping up as another top night of sprintcar action with some of the best drivers around entered.

The KTM top ten will see a bit of a reshuffle after this weekend with a few drivers from round one not attending but that will not detract from the event.

There is also a good mix of local drivers from the surrounding districts, Kristy Ellis Robert Nicholas and Jamie Heyen who took out his first Eureka Series heat win last week and ran well in the A Main event.

With the format this weekend to be drawn heats that will set up the points for the top six shootout and the C, B & A main events round two of the 2017-2018 Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series is one not to miss.
