Redline Raceway Next Stop for Eureka Series This Weekend

The Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series heads to Redline Raceway just outside of Ballarat at Buninyong this weekend for round five of the 2017-2018 Series with a good line of competitors ready to do battle that will be headed by Rusty Hickman, Tim Hutchins and current Eureka Garages & Sheds Series Champion Brett Milburn.

This is an important round of the Series from many of the drivers that are regular competitors that will see a big change in the Series points standing with a few of the drivers that have been supporting Series before their commitment to the upcoming World Series Sprintcar competition gets underway are taking the opportunity to race interstate this weekend.

Rusty Hickman has been impressive so far this season and has been the points leader over the past couple of rounds until last weekend, Rusty is only sixteen points behind Jamie Veal in the standing and he is sure to take the points lead back but more importantly Rusty must go into this event as a top chance for victory.

Both Tim Hutchins and Brett Milburn are both Eureka Series round feature winners and will be on the pace as well and also go into the event as two drivers more than capable of taking out the A Main feature race.

Two local drivers that call Redline Raceway their home track are Rod Matthews and Sam Wren, while Rods work commitments have not allowed him to race much this season Rod has put in some strong performance at the venue in the past and could be a dark horse for a top five placing or even a podium finish.

Sam Wren on the other hand has competed at all rounds of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series this season and has been putting in some good runs, a top eight finish or higher will be pleasing for Sam and his team.

Scott Reilly will be making the trip over from Western Australia again, last season Scott had his first sighting of the Redline Venue and after the knowledge gained last season he will be ready for a strong showing this weekend.

Last season Brad Warren was one of the front runners in the feature race where he took out third place, Brad is returning for this round of the Series and will be out to finish a bit higher up this time around.

Once again the dynamic young gun duo of Brayden Parr and Jordyn Charge will give the spectators something to cheer about, Brayden finished in fifth place last season while Jordyn was running well only for a mechanical issue to end his race.

Charles Hunter along with Dennis Jones, Jacob Smith and David Mckay are all very tough competitors that will be right in the mix throughout the heat races and the Eureka Series A Main event.

Some the new talent that has joined the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series this season is Bobby Daly, last season’s rookie of the year Andrew Hughes and another rookie Grant Stansfield are continuing to gain more experience with each race meeting and they continue to shine and impress many people and the spectators.

The List goes on, Eddie Lumbar, Mark Carlin a former top sedan racer, Terry Rankin, David Aldersley, Jessica Moulden are some of the other drivers nominated for the this rounds of the Series.

Chalk this event down for this Saturday night the 2nd of December, Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series Round five at Redline Raceway Ballart. For more information go to the Redline Raceway web site. www.redlineraceway.org.au
