The Sprintcar Racing Association of Victoria heads to Heartland Raceway this Saturday night for round one of the Indy Race Parts 360 Sprintcar Triple Crown Series with the support of Lumbars Transport and a very strong field of competitors from around the State.

The SRA of Victoria is pleased to announce that Indy Race Parts in Geelong have come on board as the naming rights sponsor of the inaugural SRA 360 Sprintcar Triple Crown Series to be conducted over three rounds at Heartland Raceway, Premier Speedway and Avalon Raceway.

This round of the Series also doubles as the annual Heartland Raceway SRA 360 Sprintcar Challenge that is supported by Lumbars Transport from Deniliquin.

A good mix of the regular 360 Sprintcar drivers with a few open drivers have entered for this weekend, some of the drivers heading the nominations list are Chris Solomon, Brenton Farrer, Domain Ramsay, Brett Milburn the current Victorian 360 Sprintcar Champion Jordyn Charge, Paul Solomon, Michael Tancredi, South Australia’s Daniel Evans along with Brayden Parr and Jessica Moulden.

Lady racer Jessica Moulden runs well at the Heartland Venue where she took third place in last season’s event to finish just behind Rusty Hickman and Paul Solomon, another strong performance is not out of the question.

Four past Victorian Champions are in the field for Saturday night, Domain Ramsay, Chris Solomon, Michael Tancredi and the current Victorian 360 Sprintcar Champion Jordyn Charge, all these drivers have been in good form of late and they are all more than capable of taking the Lumbars Transport 360 Challenge win this weekend.

Brett Milburn’s last time in the seat of a 360 Sprintcar was at Avalon Raceway last season where he took out the 360 Sprintcar Diggers Cup in fine style driving the Phil Seymour A Plus Powder Coating car, Brett will be back in the same car looking for another feature race win.

Chris Solomon is one driver that will take some beating in this event, Chris is always fast at Heartland Raceway and was successful winning the 360 Challenge in 2016. One challenger for Chris will be his brother Paul who will want to finish one place better this time after taking second place least season, Paul has been strong this season where ever he has raced.

Eddie Lumbar enjoyed his last run at Heartland Raceway in the Allstars with his 360 Sprintcar that boosted his confidence, a top three place could be on the cards.

Brenton Farrer has been in good form over the last two seasons and must be in with a real chance of a top placing, Brenton got a late call up to drive the VA55 sprintcar this weekend instead of his own V34 machine. Both Chris Campbell and David Aldersley are two drivers that are definite top six contenders as well.

Michael Cunningham has only raced a few meetings this season with good results so far, he will be looking for another good night at the speedway this weekend.

Now Domain Ramsay has some unfinished business at Heartland Raceway after
leading one of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Series rounds last season when a tire exploded and sent into the wall with a only a few laps to go. Domain is normally on the money in his 360 sprintcar.

Brayden Parr’s season did not start off well for him but his fortunes changed in the second part of the season and he has great speed and is driving well, Brayden must go into this meeting with a real shot at taking out the Lumbars Transport 360 Challenge and the Indy Race Parts Triple Crown Series round one win.

Daniel Evans will make the trip over from South Australian, Daniel supports the SRA of Vic 360 Sprintcars regularly and he is always a fast and tough competitor.

Some of the other drivers nominated are Bendigo’s Ron Donaldson, Michael Holt, Daniel Scott and Kane Fitzgerald, who will be joined by couple of travelling drivers Shaun McClure and Boyd Harris.

Time Trials, heats races, dashes and two Main events will be the order of the night and with over twenty two nominations received so far plus a few more to be confirmed the Lumbar Transports 360 Challenge and round one of the Indy Race Parts Triple Crown Series will be a great night of racing at Heartland Raceway Moama.

With Indy Race Parts as the naming rights sponsor the SRA of Vic Inc is also please to have Lumber Transports, Parr Motorsports and A Plus Powder Coating as support sponsors of the 360 Sprintcar Triple Crown Series.

On track action this Saturday night the 7th of April at Heartland Raceway will commence at approximately 6pm with sprintcar hot laps before the group times are conducted.
