Bobby Daly will be out to keep the good form going of the last two rounds.
The Eureka Sprintcar Series Returns to Heartland Raceway
Author : Ian Vale
This Saturday night the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series returns to the Echuca / Moama Heartland Raceway venue for round nine of the series with a quality field of drivers entered, the likes of Grant Anderson, Charles Hunter, Bobby Daly last round winner Matthew Reed, Queensland Champion Mitchell Gee, South Australia’s hard charger Ryan Jones and many more.
After the disappointment of round two of the series being cancelled at Heartland Raceway earlier in the season due to the weather the drivers are ready to put their best foot forward around the big wide open racing venue that produces a top nights of sprintcar action.
With both Mitchell Gee and Ryan Jones both making their debut at Heartland Raceway these two drivers are fast and should not have too much trouble to quickly adapt to the big track.
Matthew Reed is a regular at Heartland and is always very strong here, after his performance last weekend taking the Eureka Series round eight win Matthew should be one of the main players again this weekend.
One driver that is always fast and is a front runner every time he runs at Heartland is Grant Anderson but luck has not gone his way on few occasions thru no fault of his own, if all goes well Grant should be hard to beat on the night.
At his last start at the venue Brayden Parr took out the Allstar Sprintcar feature a couple of weeks back, expect another strong perforce from this young charger.
Bobby Daly’s last two rounds of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series have been strong where he has picked up his two best rounds in Series points that has seen him move into second place in the standings. Now if Bobby can continue that form he has a real change to close the point’s gap right down on the current point’s leader Corey McCullagh.
Unfortunately Corey has had to withdraw from this weekend’s event due family commitments but family must always come first.
The battle for third place in the standings is on between both Charles Hunter and Brayden with only twenty one points separating them.
For the regular series competitors, Brenton Farrer, Terry Rankin, Jordyn Charge, Dennis Jones, Sam Wren, Grant Stansfield and Andrew Hughes this round is important to gain as many points as possible to try and lock themselves into the Top Ten points standings for a shot at winning the $8000 random draw at the end of the serries thanks to Eureka Garages & Sheds, Indy Race Parts and Camden Signage and Buildings Services.
Saturday the 23rd of February 2019 round nine of Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series at Heartland Raceway at Echuca / Moama.
