The action will be hot in round 10 of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcar Series
$5000 to Win in Eureka Series at Avalon Raceway
Author : Ian Vale
Avalon Raceway is the place to be this Saturday night for round ten of the Eureka Garages & Sheds Sprintcars that’s paying out in excess of $25,000 prize money with $5000 of that going to the Feature winner. This event doubles as the annual Great Southern Showdown and a Showdown it will be when you look at the list of competitors in the forty plus driver nominations. McCullagh the current Eureka Series point’s leader, Hunter, Veal, Vogels, Milburn, Mollenoyux, Doukas, Lee, Daly, the young guns of Charge and Parr and the list goes on.
While Corey McCullagh has a handy one hundred and thirty one points lead over Charles Hunter in the Eureka Garages & Sheds Series both Brayden Parr and Bobby Daly are also close only another fifty five points behind, for McCullagh it’s important that he qualifies into the Main Event to protect his lead.
In saying that it will not be easy for any of the drivers to make the direct transfer into the A Main with this quality field. Darren Mollenoyux is a winner at Avalon Raceway this season already then you have Jamie Veal who is always a front runner. While Luke Walker has only been doing a limited racing program this season Luke won a round of the Series at Avalon last season and his good form has carried into this season.
One of the crowd favourites and five time Eureka Garages & Sheds Series Champion John Vogels showed he is still on the pace after wining round seven of the Series back in December, don’t go past John for another win or a place at this event.
Charles Hunter is a driver that has a considerable amount of experience in Sprintcar racing, his last couple of season have been very impressive with good results and a feature race win is on the horizon for him, in saying that Charles will be happy to gain a good bag of points in this round of the Series to keep him in reach of the Series leader Corey McCullagh. Don’t count Charles out of a top placing this Saturday night.
With the top eighteen drivers in the Series points standings in the nominations and many more all indications are this event will be a top night once again at Avalon Raceway.
