The Final event of the season this Sunday afternoon for the SRA

This coming Sunday will be the final race event of the 2020-2021 season for the Sprintcar Racing Association of Victorian with a top show on the cards at Simpson Speedway. Sunday afternoon will see the final round of the SRA A Plus Powder Coating 360 Triple Crown Sprintcar Series with a class field of nominations headed by the inform Jordyn Charge who is leading the Series.

This round of the SRA A Plus Powder Coating 360 Triple Crown Sprintcar Series is a rescheduled event that was lost to inclement weather earlier this month and with dates limited to rescheduled the event the decision between the SRA of Vic Inc and Simpson Speedway was to run the event on Sunday afternoon (2-5-2021). On track action will commence at approximately 1pm for the Sprintcars and other classes on the day.

Two rounds of the A Plus Powder Coating 360 Triple Crown Sprintcar Series have been run and won recently at Premier Speedway and Avalon Raceway and Jordyn Charge took the main event wins at both tracks to give him a handy point’s lead in the third and final round of the Series this weekend.

Two drivers looking to stop Jordyn’s outstanding performance this Sunday is Brett Milburn who is the current SCCA 360 Australian Champion and Charles Hunter who took thirds place in the 360 Title event behind guess who? Jordyn Charge who ran second in the title race. While the challenge is on for a win on Sunday for these three drivers it is also shaping up to be a rematch of the Australian Title event that was conducted at Simpson Speedway.

Some tough competition will come from two local drivers, John Vogels and Phil Lock who are no strangers to running at the front of the field. Add in Dennis Jones, Eddie Lumbar, Domain Ramsay and Sam Wren who are normally seen racing with their 410ci power plants, these drivers should be right in the mix on the day. One busy driver in the Australia motorsport scene is Cameron Waters juggling his V8 Supercar racing and sprintcar racing, Cameron is back for this round of the Series.

Let’s not forget the two ladies in the field, Samantha Millar driving the Anthony Foster V18 machine and Renae Eastham in the familiar V88 Victorylane race car, both these ladies are very new to the sprintcar ranks but they are very experienced wingless sprint competitors.

Other Western district drivers nominated are Phil Micallef, Darryl Atkinson, and Chris Rodda. Shane Steenholdt and David Dennison are making the long trip from the Gippsland region to be a part of the shown this weekend.

Simpson Speedway is the place to be this Sunday afternoon with on track action to commence at approximately 1pm for the final sprintcar event of the SRA of Vic Inc 2020-2021 season but more importantly the action will be on to see who will be crowned the 2021 SRA A Plus Powder Coating 360 Triple Crown Sprintcar Series champion.
