Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series Heads Back to Avalon
Author : SRA Media

Off the back of last weekends entertaining round 6 final at Horsham, the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series returns to Avalon Raceway, Lara for round 7 this Saturday night. All of the front runners from last weekends A-main return while there’s a strong lineup intent on taking the win and in doing so spoil the series points party for a number of series contenders.

In what will be a great night for the Sprintcar Racing Association of Victoria the opening round of the C&H Trucking Pro Sprints will also be on the program at Avalon Raceway bolstering the program with an impressive 65 Sprintcars assembling for both series.

Matthew Reed, the only seven time series champion has shot to the top of the Eureka series leader board with another excellent performance last weekend finishing third while Horsham runner up Terry Rankin is trailing Reed with Grant Anderson, Chris Solomon and Tim Hutchins currently the top 5 overall.

While Reed and Rankin continue their push towards a series win, last weekend’s winner Grant Stansfield returns for another round while Jordy Rae, Chris Solomon, Ashley Cook, Tim Hutchins, Eddie Lumbar and Brayden Parr all improved dramatically in the series standings off strong results at Horsham. Despite a DNF, Mitch Smith was also exciting to watch and was moving forward quickly and he’ll also be in action this weekend.

A number of exciting additions return to the action this weekend including three time series champ Brett Milburn, early series point leader Grant Anderson returns while Michael Tancredi, Andy Hughes and Bobby Daly while in addition some of the spice will be added courtesy of some big names.

Defending series champion Daniel Pestka is a welcome addition for his first appearance in the series while Tasmania’s Tate Frost has been in superb touch recently while Jake Smith will be an exciting addition following his strong performances over the Christmas New Year period.

Darwin’s Kale Quinlan, Tasmanian Brody Appleby and New South Wales duo William Lucas and Luke Thomas will add some interstate flavour while it’s also pleasing to see former series regular Tim Rankin and Jye Okeeffe among the nominations.

The Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series is at it’s halfway mark and there’s plenty of interest around the series standings with more than 35K in the end of series points fund with 10K allocated to the series winner.

A pleasing number of entries in the opening round of the C&H Trucking Pro Sprint series will see Sam Wren, Michael Tancredi, Brenten Farrer, Paul Solomon and Charles Hunter as just a few of the names to watch among a great field of both new and current stars of the Pro Sprint category.
