The Sprintcar Racing Association of Victoria is please to be able to finally release the proposed race date calendar for the 2023-2024 season, while some events are yet to be finalized the SRA committee is pleased with the applications received from the venue operators for race date. While it has not been possible to fit all the requested dates in from the venue operators the SRA will continue to work with all the venues in an effort to make the new seasons racing a success for all parties.
Saturday evening saw the Sprintcar Racing Association of Victoria celebrate their season with the annual awards dinner held at Rydges in Geelong. A great crowd was on hand to celebrate the season award winners and also recognise the special achievement of Eureka Garages and Sheds partnering with the SRA for 20 years.
While Brett Milburn was busy dominating the final event on the Sprintcar Racing Association’s Victorian season at Simpson Speedway Sunday night, it was Jordy Rae who captured the overall series crown for the C&H Trucking Pro Sprints while Matthew Symons claimed the condensed A Plus Powder Coating Triple Crown Series.
Making his Pro Sprint debut Jake Smith promptly went out and won round 2 of the A Plus Powdercoating Triple Crown Series at Avalon Raceway, Lara finishing ahead of early race leader Michael Tancredi with Matthew Symons finishing a solid third.
The A Plus Powdercoating Triple Crown Series continues this weekend with rounds two and three set for decision while both rounds will double as C&H Trucking Pro Sprint Series rounds also as the Sprintcar season officially wraps up this weekend in Victoria.
Andy Hibbert produced a career best performance to win the opening round of the A Plus Powdercoating Pro Sprint Triple Crown event at Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway finishing ahead of series leader Jordy Rae by the slimmest of margins .030 seconds as the pair sped passed the finish line side by side. Following Hibbert and Rae across the line in third after earlier leading was Matthew Symons who impressed once again.
Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway is set to host the opening round of the A Plus Powder Coating Triple Crown Series for Pro Sprints as the event also doubles as round 6 of the C&H Trucking Pro Sprint Series this Saturday night.
An exciting night at Avalon Raceway for the Grand Final of the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series was won by Will Carroll ahead of Brett Milburn with Tate Frost managing his third successive podium finish with the series while Matthew Reed became an eight time series champ as he scored enough point to claim the overall series win ahead of Terry Rankin.
The exciting conclusion to the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series is set for decision this Saturday night at Geelong’s Avalon Raceway with close to forty Sprintcars making an appearance in round 12 with series leader Matthew Reed and current runner up Terry Rankin amongst a strong field.
Beginning the 30 lap A-main from pole position courtesy of winning the Gold Shootout, Brock Hallett had to race by early race leader Cameron Waters before he would go onto a popular win at round 11 of the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series at Premier Speedway, Warrnambool. Hallett crossed the line ahead of the ever improving Supercar regular Cameron Waters while Tate Frost raced forward from fourteenth on the grid to finish third.
With only two rounds remaining of the Eureka Garages and Sheds Sprintcar Series and the next stop on the tour heads to Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway this Saturday night with another great night anticipated with the double bonus being the C&H Trucking Pro Sprint Series also on the program.
The highly anticipated return of Sprintcars to Portland’s Southern 500 Speedway didn’t disappoint with the large crowd on hand treated to some spectacular action with local hero Brock Hallett winning the A-main ahead of Tasmania’s Tate Frost second while Ashley Cook trailed in third who took home a lot of series points as there’s only two series rounds remaining.
