The Pro Sprint Series Heads To Avalon and Simpson This Weekend
Author : SRA Media

The A Plus Powdercoating Triple Crown Series continues this weekend with rounds two and three set for decision while both rounds will double as C&H Trucking Pro Sprint Series rounds also as the Sprintcar season officially wraps up this weekend in Victoria.

A classy field of 30 Pro Sprints will make their way to Avalon Raceway, Lara this Saturday night while both series events wrap up the following day at Simpson Speedway in a twilight event that’s a mega weekend for speedway fans looking for their last fix of Sprintcar action for the season.

Andy Hibbert’s popular win at Warrnambool recently sees him leading the A Plus Powder Coating Triple Crown Series after the opening round while the Pro Sprint event Saturday also doubles as round 7 of the C&H Trucking Series where Jordy Rae continues to lead the series following his strong rookie season.

Fans attending both Avalon Raceway Saturday evening and Simpson Speedway Sunday are in for an excellent two events with a large field of racers intent on series points all the while improving their skills in the Pro Sprint category.

As always Brett Milburn will be an exciting addition to the mix with his enormous level of experience standing him as one of the drivers to beat every time the former Pro Sprint national champ rolls out onto the race track.

Fresh from a strong runner up finish in Warrnambool’s Easter Sprintcar Trail round behind Australian Sprintcar champion Jock Goodyer, Jake Smith will contest his maiden Pro Sprint Series rounds following numerous strong performances this season throughout open Sprintcar competition.

Also fresh from a career best result winning the Easter Nationals at Mildura, Corey Sandow will bring the race winning form to both Avalon and Simpson this weekend in the hope of building a winning streak.

Michael Tancredi and Jordyn Charge have both tasted great success in Pro Sprint competition over their respective careers and will both look to continue that this weekend.

Sam Wren’s consistency is never questioned and once again Wren will be in contention this weekend along with impressive rookie Daniel Storer who tasted feature success at an earlier round at Horsham.

Impressing recently was Dennis Jones who also returns along with both Chris and Paul Solomon who are welcome additions to an already strong field of Pro Sprint racers.

Three drivers locked currently in the C&H Trucking Pro Sprint Series top 10 are David McKay, Steven Horton and Nigel Laity who’ll be keen to keep the series points ticking over while also hoping for a strong finish in both events.

Avalon fans in particular will be keen to see the debut of local modified sedan hero Justin Drew as he will take on the Pro Sprint for the first time while Luke Schneider, David Donegan, Shane Steenholdt, Brett Smith, Daryl Bottams and Eddie Lumbar will also be back in action.

As always a great crop of old and new racers will be on display with the additions of Alex Thomson, Ben Micallef, Jack Van Bremen, Marcus Green all joining the likes of Steve Loader, Shaun Lyness and David Aldersley this weekend.
