A Big Night of Pro Sprintcar Action Set for Southern 500 Speedway

Round seven of the C&H Trucking Pro Sprintcar Series is off to Southern 500 Speedway Portland this Saturday night, the event will also double as the Sprintcar Racing Association of Victoria Pro Sprintcar State Title. Plus, this round of the Series will also be round One of the annual A Plus Powder Coating Triple Crown Series that has attracted a very strong Field of competitors for the nights action.

With nearly all the top ten in points entered this weekend lead by Series points leader Dennis Jones from Sam Wren and last round winner Matthew Symons sitting in third place these drivers will have hot competition to compete with the likes of Jack Lee, Andy Hibbert, Micheal Tancredi,, Shaun Lyness, Harry Ross and Josh Buckingham who won two rounds of the Series so far but due to being under weight Josh had the round two win taken from him.

At the next round of the Series at Redline Raceway Josh showed he was on the pace once again and this time he took the round win to restart his charge up the points table.

While many of the drivers entered are looking for good Series points on the night they will also be out for Gold and trying to win the Series round that would see the winner also crowned the 2024 SRA Victorian Pro Sprintcar State Champion.

Daniel Pestka from South Australia recently took out the South Australian Pro Sprintcar Title and he would like to also add the Victorian Pro Sprintcar Title to his resume, Daniel must go into this round of the Series as one of the Favorites on the night.

Dane Court returns this weekend to Sprintcar competition after an accident sideline him early in the year, Dane has been back in his Super Rod recently and showed he is on the pace, a top three placing is not out of the question on his return to Sprintcar Racing.

Thanks to A Plus Powder Coating the Triple Crown Series will be contested once again over the next three rounds beginning at Southern 500 Speedway then at the next two rounds of the C&H Trucking Series to be run at Avalon Raceway and Simpson Speedway later this month.

Time Trials will get the proceedings underway for this round of the Series before the drivers contest two heat races each followed by the main events.

Local racer Daniel Storer could be one of the main contenders on the night, Daniel has continued to show good form so far in his sprintcar career.

Steve loader raced in the Open Sprintcar Series at Southern 500 Speedway early this season and will have better knowledge on his return visit, Steven won round five of the C&H Trucking Series recently at Premier Speedway, another series round win is not out of the question.

Kinser Claridge is making the long journey down for Queensland to part of the show and gain some experience down South.

Some of the other drivers entered are Luke Cole, Tim Van Ginneken, father and son Phil and Ben Micallef, along with Micheal McDonald and rookie driver Jacob Pitcher.

Southern 500 Speedway Portland on Saturday the 6th of April, round seven of the Series that will also be doubling as the SRA Victorian Pro Sprintcar Title, and the event will also be round one of the A Plus Powder Coating Triple Crown Series.
